These Terms and Conditions apply to the PackIQ application (hereinafter referred to as the “Application”, “App”, “Service”, or “PackIQ”) for mobile devices, created by Lalsang Chauhan (hereinafter referred to as the “Service Provider”) as a Freemium service.

By downloading, accessing, or using the Application, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. You are advised to read and understand these terms before using the Application.

Use of the Application

PackIQ helps users create and manage trips, bags, packing lists, packing templates, travel tasks, and other travel-related information. The Application may also provide AI-powered packing suggestions, itineraries, translations, and travel assistance.

You agree to use the Application only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

You must not misuse the Application, interfere with its operation, attempt to gain unauthorised access to its systems, or use it to submit unlawful, harmful, abusive, misleading, or infringing content.

Intellectual Property

Unauthorised copying or modification of the Application, any part of the Application, or the Service Provider’s trademarks is prohibited.

You may not attempt to extract the source code of the Application, translate or reverse-engineer the Application, or create derivative versions except where such restrictions are prohibited by applicable law.

All trademarks, copyrights, database rights, designs, software, and other intellectual property rights relating to the Application remain the property of the Service Provider or their respective owners.

User-Provided Content

You may create or provide trip information, packing lists, items, templates, tasks, notes, AI prompts, and other content through the Application.

You remain responsible for the information you enter and must ensure that you have the right to use it. You must not submit confidential, unlawful, harmful, or third-party information without appropriate permission.

The Service Provider is not responsible for errors, omissions, or consequences resulting from information entered by users.

AI Features

PackIQ uses Fal.ai, a third-party AI service, to process text information you provide, such as trip details or questions submitted through AI Chat.

This information is transmitted to Fal.ai solely to generate relevant responses, including packing suggestions, itineraries, translations, and travel-related assistance.

AI-generated responses may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or unsuitable for your particular circumstances. You should independently verify important information before relying on it.

AI features are provided for general informational and planning purposes only and do not constitute professional, legal, medical, financial, immigration, safety, or emergency advice.

Do not enter sensitive personal, financial, confidential, or security-related information when using AI features.

Travel Information Disclaimer

Packing suggestions, itineraries, translations, destination information, weather-related recommendations, and other travel content provided through PackIQ are intended only as general assistance.

Travel conditions, entry requirements, laws, transportation schedules, availability, safety guidance, and other information may change without notice.

You are responsible for checking information with official authorities, transport providers, accommodation providers, embassies, insurers, and other appropriate sources before travelling or making decisions.

The Service Provider is not responsible for missed items, missed departures, denied entry, booking issues, translation errors, travel disruption, loss, injury, expenses, or other consequences arising from reliance on the Application.

Changes and Charges

The Service Provider aims to make the Application useful and efficient but reserves the right to modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any feature of the Application.

The Service Provider may introduce charges, subscriptions, or paid features at any time. Any applicable pricing and payment requirements will be clearly displayed before a purchase is completed.

Subscriptions and Purchases

PackIQ may offer optional subscriptions or in-app purchases that provide access to premium features.

Purchases made through Apple platforms are processed through Apple’s payment systems and are subject to Apple’s applicable terms.

Subscriptions may automatically renew unless cancelled through your Apple account settings within the period specified by Apple before the renewal date.

The Service Provider does not directly process or store your complete payment card or banking information.

Prices, subscription periods, trials, renewals, cancellation options, and included features will be displayed on the applicable purchase screen.

Deleting the Application does not automatically cancel an active subscription. You must manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple account settings.

Device Security

The Application may store and process information on your device or through services necessary to provide its functionality.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and controlling access to the Application.

The Service Provider advises against jailbreaking or rooting your device. Doing so may compromise device security, expose it to harmful software, and cause the Application to function incorrectly or stop working.

Third-Party Services

The Application may use third-party services that are governed by their own terms, policies, and practices.

These services may include:

The Service Provider does not control these third-party services and is not responsible for their availability, content, security, accuracy, or practices.

Your use of third-party services may be subject to additional terms and conditions established by the relevant service provider.

Internet and Data Usage

Some features of the Application require an active internet connection, which may be provided through Wi-Fi or your mobile network.

The Service Provider is not responsible if the Application does not function fully because you do not have internet access, your connection is unavailable, or your data allowance has been exhausted.

Your mobile network provider’s terms continue to apply when you use the Application. You may be charged for mobile data, roaming, or other services.

You are responsible for all such charges. If you are not the bill payer for the device, you confirm that you have permission from the person responsible for those charges.

Availability and Updates

The Service Provider does not guarantee that the Application will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, compatible, or free from errors.

The Application may need to be updated to remain compatible with operating-system requirements or to continue providing certain features.

You agree to install updates where reasonably required. The Service Provider does not guarantee that the Application will remain compatible with every device or operating-system version.

Limitation of Liability

The Application and its content are provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Service Provider makes no warranties regarding the Application’s availability, accuracy, reliability, suitability, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose.

You are responsible for your use of the Application and any decisions made based on its content, checklists, reminders, templates, suggestions, translations, itineraries, or AI-generated responses.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Service Provider will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or other loss arising from:

Your use of or inability to use the Application

Reliance on packing suggestions, AI responses, travel information, or translations

Lost, deleted, or inaccessible trip information, lists, templates, tasks, or other content

Internet, device, third-party service, or operating-system failures

Travel delays, missed bookings, forgotten items, additional expenses, or other travel-related consequences

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

Termination

The Service Provider may suspend or terminate access to the Application if you violate these Terms, misuse the Application, create security or legal risks, or where continued operation of the Service is no longer reasonably possible.

The Service Provider may also discontinue the Application or any of its features at any time.

Upon termination:

Your right to use the Application will end.

You must stop using the Application.

You may need to delete the Application from your device.

Provisions that should reasonably continue after termination, including intellectual-property, disclaimer, and limitation-of-liability provisions, will remain effective.

Privacy

Your use of the Application is also subject to the PackIQ Privacy Policy, which explains how information is collected, used, processed, retained, and shared.

Changes to These Terms and Conditions

The Service Provider may update these Terms and Conditions periodically for operational, legal, regulatory, security, or Application-related reasons.

Updated Terms and Conditions may be posted within the Application or on the associated Terms and Conditions page.

You are encouraged to review these terms regularly. Continued use of the Application after updated terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions will be governed by the applicable laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in India, unless applicable consumer-protection laws require otherwise.

Effective Date

These Terms and Conditions are effective as of 1 July 2026.
